VividLyrics for Windows Media Player 10
This section is a guide to using VividLyrics Karaoke Plugin for Windows Media Player 10.
Launching VividLyrics Plugin:
- Launch Windows Media Player.
- Click "Now Playing".
- Click the "Select Now Playing options" button. Select "Visualizations" > "VividLyrics" > "Single Line"(or "Double Lines" ...) from the menu of Windows Media Player.
Opening the properties sheet:
- Click the "Select Now Playing options" button. Select "Plug-ins" > "Options..." from the menu.
- Select "Visualization" from the "Category" field.
- Select "VividLyrics" from the "Visualization" field.
- Click the "Properties" button to open the properties sheet.
Configuring:
- Font: Click the "Settings..." button to configure the font properties.
- Color: Click on the color blocks to choose the colors. You also can enter two values to adjust the location of the starting point and ending point for the gradual blend between the two colors.
- Text Alignment: Specify the positions that the plugin uses to align the lyrics lines. "Left' " and "Right' " are for the second line of two lines display mode.
- Image Alignment: Specify the positions that the plugin uses to align the background image.
- Image File: Click the "Browse..." button to specify the background image file.
- Lyrics Directory: Click the "Browse..." button to specify the lyrics directory. The plugin will first search lyrics files in this folder.
- Timestamp Offset: This is default timestamp offset value, measured in 10-millisecond. For example, if the value is -20, the plugin will display the lyrics 200 milliseconds early. If the lyrics file has defined timestamp offset value, the plugin will use the file's and ignore the default.
Preparing the lyrics:
- Make the lyrics file using VividLyrics Editor, or download the lyrics file from the Internet.
- Make sure the audio file and the corresponding lyrics file have same name. For example, if the audio file is called "abc.mp3" then the lyrics file should be called "abc.vl"(or "abc.lrc", "abc.txt").
- Place the lyrics file to the specified folder or to the folder in which the corresponding audio file is located.
Starting playback:
Click the play button of Windows Media Player. Now you will can see the lyrics showed on the player's screen.
Plugin contorls:
- Alt + Left Arrow: 10-millisecond early
- Alt + Right Arrow: 10-millisecond late
